Our staff is passionate and engaged in their work every day at Kids After Hours. Their energy and creativity help make our programs a truly special and unique place for children to have fun and thrive.

Many children who begin in our programs return as adults, bringing their experiences back to impart the Kids After Hours spirit to the next generation.

We are proud to maintain staff-to-child ratios that exceed Maryland State requirements across all of our programs.


We’re seeking passionate, dependable, and vibrant individuals who enjoy working with children! No formal experience is required—this is your first step toward a rewarding career in child care.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • 6 hours of continuing education are required annually

Schedule Options:

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday):
    • Mornings: 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM
    • Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Applicants may choose to work mornings, afternoons, or both.

We’re looking for seasoned child care professionals eager to join a team, collaborate, and develop leadership skills to advance to the next level!

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Completion of the following:
    • ADA Training (Americans with Disabilities)
    • High School Diploma
    • College Credit OR 9-Hour Communication Course
    • 45-Hour Growth & Development Course
    • 45-Hour School Age Methods and Materials Course
    • 400 hours of child care experience
  • 12 hours of continuing education are required annually

Schedule Options:

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday):
    • Mornings: 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM
    • Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Applicants may choose to work mornings, afternoons, or both.

We’re looking for child care professionals with a growth mindset who are eager to:

  • Join a new community
  • Collaborate with fellow Directors
  • Lead and mentor program staff in a supportive environment

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Completion of the following:
    • 45-Hour Growth & Development Course
    • 45-Hour School Age Methods and Materials Course
    • Center Director Regulation Training
    • 800 hours of child care experience
  • 12 hours of continuing education are required annually

Additional Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) with a mix of center hours with children and office hours for planning and program support
